How to bake Gingerbread Christmas cookies:
Whisk the eggs with soda.
Pour the whisked eggs into the melted mixture and mix.
The mixture will to foam.
Remove from the heat and add gradually the sifted flour.
Add the spices together with the flour.
While dough is hot, knead it with a spoon, and then with hands.
It turns soft, aromatic dough.
It may stick a bit to the table, so sprinkle the table generously with flour and roll out the dough 1 cm thick.
Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. You may use the special forms, like gingerbread Christmas tree, deer, sleigh and sack of the gifts, stars and bells! And your cookies will be really festive!
Preheat the oven to 200 C (392F).
Cover baking tray with baking paper, then grease it with vegetable oil and place the cookies 3-4 cm apart.
Put it in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, till it gets golden brown color. Ready gingerbreads increase in volume, become lush, and tester comes dry out of the dough.
Let them cool on a flat surface, for example, on the table.
To make the glaze, mix sugar powder with lemon juice.
Put the glaze in a pastry bag, cut off the tip and paint cooled cakes with patterns.
You may draw different ornaments, wavy and zigzag lines, spirals and points. Offer your children to help you, the decorating of Christmas gingerbread is very interesting and creative work, so it will bring a lot of joy to all of you!
Let the glaze dry for 20-30 minutes, and Christmas cookies are ready!
